Tile vs laminate (good quality - 13mm - 6.5 width) in Canoga Park, Los AngelesWe recently bought a house and planning to replace the flooring. Its a 2 storied house. First makes up for living, family, 1/2 bath, kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry room. Initially we thought of putting Laminate in living and family room and have tile in kitchen. But our main door entrance has tiles, which kind of we like. Now that we think about it, as most the first floor has tile (fireplace area/main entrance/1/2 bath/laundry room/kitchen with breakfast nook) we are thinking of having tile all over to have the same flow? So any inputs!! Is tile or laminate considered favorable while making buying (if we plan to sell it in future)?Does tile increase the home value?which layout is more desirable - vertical or diagonal tileWhich tile size is desirable - smaller (13 x13) or bigger onesInstalling tile is expensive compared to laminate - so not sure if we are doling out more for wrong reasonsAny insight will be appreciated.
