Title Company Necessary on a Refinance?

I am buying my sister's portion out of our inherited home that is paid off. This is being done through a lender as a refinance. Is a title company necessary?

Yes, the lender will require a title search, lenders title insurance, performing the closing, etc.. Those are the larger title insurance costs that you will see on the title invoice in Illinois. There are other smaller charges as well.

Absolutely, title companies will always be a necessity when purchasing or refinancing a home loan.

Most certainly.  The lender will want a title search and title insurance.
