You can ask, but it is essentially re-negotiating the contract and you risk losing the home. You have to ask yourself if the difference is big enough to possibly lose the deal. They may have reduced it to a price that stirs up interest but the seller has no intention of selling it at that price. Maybe your agent could contact the other agent to see what's going on.
