You'd think the sales reps would review Zillow's "Good Neighbor Policy" when they sign people up.
Tana - welcome to zillow.....since you are new, and just so you know - contact information is not allowed in your response or ....next to your name.......that's zillow's rule!

The successful Agents seem to be the ones who put their Phone# next to their photo/avatar..
Well it has been very successful for Zillow. Just look at the revenue mix reported for the 4th quarter by Zillow this week:-
"Marketplace Revenue increased 169% to $13.7 million from $5.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Display Revenue increased 38% to $6.1 million from $4.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2010"
With Marketplace revenues now growing substantially faster than Display revenues it seems that the balance of power has shifted strongly in favor of Premier Agents at Zillow. The appointment of Robert Bemis as VP of Partner Relations seems to confirm Zillows recognition of this shift in power. It will be interesting to see how Customer Support for Premier Agents will be improved to reflect the importance to future revenue growth of their continued support. Maybe we won't see requests on this Forum from Agents begging Zillow for a telephone number or email address so they can get in touch with Zillow, usually asking how to cancel their account.

I've have had success. It's like any medium out there. You have to work at it. You can buy zip codes and get leads but it's expensive. I do know agents that are getting lots of business from the leads they are getting from zillow. It's just what they always have said, it takes money to make money. That being said, you can get business by working at the presence you build by being actively involved. Good Luck!

not much activity - I actually get a better response from trulia.......but, to be honest...I don't pay to be a premier agent, nor do I seek out reviews...........and I dont pay for zip codes......I did pay for 1 year to be a "pro" on trulia - saw no benefit and stopped......bottom line is...
I think posting helpful answers, on a consistant basis, is the best way to reap any benefits. That is how I have gotten leads - which resulted in closings. One was a million dollar sale.............they found me online.......followed me around to see how I responded........checked out my website and blogs......then.....called to interview me......and....I sold them a home 7 months later for 995,000.
That being said....there is actually an agent here who claims that, after buying up a ton of zip codes, in only 25 days on zillow she has gotten 59 "leads".....written 5 offers......and has 4 closings pending in the next few weeks!!!!
Hmmmm - pretty impressive.......That's one busy gal.......she must be the only one (ok, call me a cynic)

So far it has not hit my expectations. I seem to get as many calls now that I have purchased marketing on Zillow as I did before. I do have a very high end zip code though, so not sure how many million dollar buyers are finding their agent on Zillow.....but I just need one :)
To all agents that use zillow how successful has it been?
