TUCSON - A report from a popular reality website shows that, on average, Tucson homes are being sold for more, there are fewer homes on the market, and they are staying on the market for longer.

Tucson is currently the 67th most searched for market on Realtor.com. Over the past year, the median home price here jumped 3.16 percent, according to the popular real estate website.

Median list price for homes in Tucson is $172,800, compared with $185,500 nationwide.

The number of homes on the market in Tucson leveled out at 6,477 in January, a 22.52 percent decrease compared to January 2011. Nationally, inventory counts dropped 23.20 percent compared to last year.

Statistics from Realtor.com show that houses are staying on the market longer: the median age of inventory in Tucson in January is 91 days, a 7.06 percent increase compared to December 2011.
