Zillow uses an automated system comparing previous sales in your area to the public tax record information for your home. Therefore, they have no idea about the condition of your home, etc which does effect the value of your home.
The other, more important, thing that Zillow's zestimates miss is the human element. That "comparable" home might be in a much better or worse location or there might not be sufficient comparable at all.
