Although Zillow bases their 'Zestimates' off of the public record you can also update your info. If you go to your address and hit 'clain this home' you will be able to update the facts about your house which will also update the value estimate.

Hi,
Most information is updated using public records. If you used a contractor and had permits pulled the information may still show up. However, if you'd like to add the information faster, you can claim your home and make the necessary changes you'd like to see reflected.

Most information is gathered from public records provided by your city/town. If your contractor filed permits the field care should have been updated. However, if your town/city didn't update the information online. Zillow has no way of knowing. Hope this helps. Lisa

WHY IS MY HOUSE NOT UPDATED WITH ADDITION,AND LIVING SPACE SQUARE FOOT AND ADDED BATHROOM
