After 4/5/10 the process will be simplified by having standard forms used by all banks, also real estate professional need to market their ss listing aggresively to help customers.
I am sure a lot of people are going to benefit.
Thanks

Another crystal ball question... With such a huge amount of variables it would be hard for anyone to predict with certainty.  Given all of the problems we had with lack of regulation and all of the benefits of streamlining the process of short sales it seems that HAFA is a step in the right direction.  I saw a great article on some of the changes that are coming on TheChicago77.com site:

Fingers Crossed, it will help speed things up a bit. I hope it will streamline the process and make it less frustrating for both agents and clients alike/

No way. HAFA is voluntary and the banks won't to do it. Getting them to follow the requirements in the first HAMP program was like pulling teeth with a chainsaw. This one will be the same. Banks do what they want.

No, it is another government gimmick intended to show how proactive they are in correcting something way beyond their control. As an economy that relies on 70 percent of GDP to come from consumption, do we really trust any program to encourage a change in our spending habits? Another tax payer subsidized incentive to encourage consumption and improve the current Wall St bubble is risky considering rising interest rates are in our near future.

I hope this isn't just a PR move on the government. We are working with someone right now, we'll see.

You would think there would be some las vegas real estate plan being implimented by now that would fix things altogether. I don't see much improvement so far. Hopefully will soon though. - lvvr.com
