You are certain to find a "niche" in Nashville. It is a very diverse city, but with Southern frlendliness and charm. Nashville also has some of the downsides of living in a typical American city such as crime, etc., but you find that everywhere. I've lived in Nashville quite a long time, and whatever your "thing" is, you can find like minded people to fit in with. I've also lived in Florida, Colorado, and a few other places, but Nashville is home to me. In short, it has a lot to offer just about anyone.

I AM SELLING MY HOME IN NASHVILLE...to move back to the west coast to take care of my mom, if you would like to consider my home. I live in a middle income, safe neighborhood, in a great school district, (so I'm told, I don't have kids)....you can email me at FortuneCPT@Comcast.net and i'll send my phone # and you can look at my place here in the make me move section. Hope to hear from you.

Nashville's culture feels both like a big city and small town at once. You can make the city what you want. If you like the small town feel and don't want to move to far from that, there are tons of small "pockets" in the city. These neighborhoods are all full functioning communities, with walkable streets, local groceries, post offices and hardware stores. While these communities are spread out all over town, you can either stay in your small circle or experience all that each community has to offer. With all this said, we have been doing a blog series featuring each of these communities. They may be helpful in your search and to help you get to know the city a little bit better. Again, the city is what you make it! You are sure to find you niche!

Want to know more about Nashville
I have lived in central Florida for 11 years, and am considering a move to Nashville. As a teacher I would have a higher income, and I think the area is beautiful and would offer more culture than the small city I live in now. As a single father originally from Chicago, though, I am wondering how I would fit in. Could some current or past residents please tell me more about the city and the people who live there?
