the bigger question is how were you pre-approved without having supplied proof of your income already?

A few days is normal, however, now is the time for you to hold up your end of the process, dig in and get all the paperwork needed ASAP. The sooner you respond to all requests of you the smoother you transaction will be. Jim

when you say you signed the paperwork with real est agent ....does this mean you made an offer on a home and it was accepted? if so - when is closing date ? this will dictate how fast you need to get your data in to your Loan officer

Yes we put in an offer and it was accepted since my mother is the selling party (Estate sale). The closing date is March 23rd. The house price has to go to Court since its a Estate and the siblings are fighting. I'm just hoping we'll have enough time to get in the info we need and I'm not sure what they'll ask for!!

As long as you get them everything they ask for the same day it should only take 2-4 weeks

Would it be too long to wait until the 7th? I'm waiting on my tax return...It's supposed to be here tomorrow according to the schedule but the website is saying the 7th...I hope this doesn't mess things up.....

Your tax return question might be something to consider. If you are relying on your 2011 Tax Return income to qualify, be sure to speak to your lender. These days most lenders must verify your tax returns through the IRS and if you file them in the next week or two, the IRS system will not be able to do that. It's not a problem if you qualify using your 2010 returns, so be sure to discuss this with your lender. Good luck to you.

Sooner is always better, they will be asking for more documents, most likely, and it is a longer process than it was 5 years ago. But your timing sounds fine...
Was just pre approved for a home loan, signed the papers with the real estate agent today and tomorr
