Washington State underwriting time?

I'm using the Home Advantage Down Payment Assistance program and everything has been submitted to the WA State bond folks.

Has anyone used the Home Advantage DPA program?  If so, how long did it take the underwriters to process?

After a low appraisal and the sellers taking up some valuable time to decide how to proceed, they stuck w/ my deal (yay!), however want to keep the same closing date (yikes!).  Trying to gauge how long they usually take in underwriting...

What you should have been able to understand when beginning this process is that this product requires a specific certification that not many loan officers have.

There is a list of those officers on the WSHFC website so if for some reason you are doubting what your own officer is saying, try making contact with one of the other certified people that are provided for you.

This is a classic example of why it is critical to include your agent and loan officer on a team with you so that they can communicate time frames and requirements.  You should have determined this time frame before you signed any addendum.

Hello,

I am sponsored by the WSHFC to originate bond loans, and have closed many ontime.  Typically once you have submitted the loan to WSHFC it takes about 4-5 business days to hear back for final approval.  Always allow a couple days at the end for WSHFC to review.
