Well a big Thank You to all of Zillow and it's disscussion board, for the help.
We settled on our House today.
We listed our house the second week of May. It took us about 2.5 months to find a buyer and about 1.5 months to settle his VA loan. And we just settled. We did everything FSBO, and overall I feel it was extremely successful and the correct decision for us. I used www.iggyshouse.com to list the house on the MLS for free and that is how our buyer found our home. I believe listing on the MLS is still the only real way to get your house sold. If iggyshouse couldn't have done it I would have paid to have it done. Other than that I create a listing for the house on all the free sites, and I uploaded videos to youtube and photos to photobucket. I also created handouts for the local military base and posted on craigs list, but in the end, the MLS is the best source. I got a lot of phone calls from people who drove by and called the number, but few of those were serious buyers.
I hate to say this becuase I know there are some genuinely nice hardworking RE agents on this board, But I honestly don't see a need to ever use one again. It was actually quite easy to sell my own house, and saved me a ton of money. It was however pretty time consuming and sometimes frustrating, so I can understand that FSBO is not for everyone.
Best wishes to all the other Sellers out there!
I will be logging out as 698conowingo and returning to my normal zillow account as a buyer.

Well congrats on your sale!
Congratulations in selling your home. Ü
Congratulations! It's a great feeling to cross off the to-do list "sell house"!
My experience was similar to yours, in that MLS sold my house. The general traffic that other ads brought were looky-loos. Or maybe Doomers doing research of how much house is listed for what, how big it is and what it eventually sells for. :)
Bummer, Iggshouse doesn't list yet in Ohio
Good for you! It's always great to hear a success story. Congratulations.
That is great news. Jeesh, we just sold too, and it cost us 24,000 in real estate agent fees. We tried to go FSBO, but Iggys house did not have a local MLS service here. Glad to hear it worked out for you!
