Legend homes has been building homes since 1991 and is a respected company.
However, that does not mean every home they build is of good quality because what one might call good quality another might disagree.
Typically, builders build just well enough to meet their immediate competition. At each pricepoint they add or delete certain features or quality of material so they are in line with the market. Sometimes that means they add features or a level of quality on parts of the house while having average in others.
Your personal expectations will determine whether they are a "quality" builder compared to other builders in the area.
There are several layers of quality in the Falcon neighborhoods and in Katy.
There are also steps you must take in order to ensure the home you are buying meets your expectations.
You have asked a very important question but without knowing what your expectations are, it is impossible to determine whether Legend is the builder for you.
I certainly do not recommend buying a Legend home until you have looked at other homes in the area. Falcon Rock itself has some issues you should investigate before buying a home in the neighborhood.
This may sound different than what you might hear but our team sells more homes than most (top 20 sales in the state) and the main thing most say is our passion to find the right lifestyle for each client. They are rated A+ with the BBB. http://www.bbb.org/houston/business-reviews/home-builders/legend-home-corporation-in-houston-tx-50739  I live in Conco Ranch close by.  If you want a realtor to represent you, give me a call.  If your buying new, a realtor can sometimes negotiate more upgrades and make sure your getting proper disclosures with the builder.  When you buy used, a realtor will make sure you get all the proper disclosures and looks out for your best interests.  Buying a home without a realtor is like going to court without a lawyer.  I'm a licensed realtor with Royce Realty, [phone removed by Zillow moderator]

I have sold quite a few homes for Legend Homes, and find them to be very well-constructed with energy efficient features, good open floorplans, well-planned neighborhoods and decent sized lots.  And their client satisfaction rating is very high, with customer service being an extremely important part of their focus. The Cinco Ranch/Grand Parkway area is very popular, and is growing like crazy.  With its highly rated school district, it is a favorite among families.  My team markets and sells properties on the entire west side of Houston, including the Katy/Cinco Ranch areas.  If there is anything we can do to help you in your search, please feel free to contact me - we're here to help!
