I agree with Kimberly, you have many great locations to choose from.

To add to the few she has already listed are Hillsboro and much of Washington County.  There are so many smaller towns just outside of what's considered "Portland Metro" that hold amazing views and real country living.  Currently there is a Hillsboro home for sale with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on 5.87 acres.
