We sent a good faith check and haven't heard from the seller. What's up?

Ours was 1st offer in 168 days. The realtor has left us hanging not knowing if they have another buyer, but they hinted there is another buyer. I have tried to get ahold of her and she hasnt replied.

I would call the broker too!  Unfortunatley some realtors do not understand the statement "time is of the essence".

I'm going to guess that you don't have a buyer's agent.  The listing agent represents the seller and is required to get the best price and terms for the seller. She doesn't owe you anything.  I would advise you to get your own agent, have her or him check to make sure that you're not under contract and start from the beginning with someone who knows what to do for you.
If you'd like a referral for an experienced and knowledgeable agent in Oklahoma City, please message me.

I assume you are the buyer and not the buyer's REALTOR.  Another reason why buyers need to have a REALTOR to represent their interests.  Your best advice is to call the broker.  Many states require the broker's phone number to be listed with the agent's phone numbers.  It might be called "office number."  If you cannot find it, Google the agent's name and click o a link that has a broker's name on it.

Most likely, no news is bad news as far as your offer being the one accepted.

If it has been this long and you have not heard back from the Realtor, check to see if they have a Broker and if they do, call their Broker, if they do not have a broker, send them a letter of notice cancelling the contract and demanding the earnest money back in full and certify mail this letter, then go find another home.

These are just thoughts and suggestions, your decision and actions will be yours alone to pursue, I am not an attorney, seek legal council for any legal actions.

Has you check been cashed?  Escrow or good faith deposits are not to be cashed unless there is an accepted offer.

If the Realtor does not call you back contact her Broker and complain to them.
