What's Pimmitt Hills area like?

Do the homes have basements? Are they well built? It's a large development, how many builders constructed homes/designs there?

Most do not have basements. The original homes were built after World War II--3 bed, 1 bath homes on slabs. They were adequately built. Many have been expanded, and some torn down with new homes built in their places.

Its great advantage is location--near Tyson's Corners (now just being called "Tyson's"), close to Metro, I-66, I-495, Route 7, inside the Beltway.

Hope that helps.

More and more homes in Pimmitt Hills are being torn down and larger homes are being built. This is because of the proximity to the main highways. It is very convenient

Pimmit Hills is an amazing location, close in yet not with the hustle and bustle feel that you get when you're in the interior of Falls Church or McLean. You have Idylwood to one side, 7 to the other, and you're still inside the beltway. The original homes will generally be single level, or 2 level homes- around here, they call them bungalows, but I call them just plain adorable! Like Frank mentioned, yep... they are getting purchased by folks looking to tear down or do deep remodels. Overall, the area is a great location if you're looking for value inside the beltway!

Pimmit Hills is made up mainly of ramblers (houses on one level with a basement).  It is located in between I-66, I-495, nestled between Vienna, McLean, Falls Church, Falls Church City, & Arlington.

We like to call it Virginia's Best "Known" secret -  Its potential growth in value could be huge - the new silver line metro is opening in Tysons on July 26th, 2014.  Currently, there are over 1,700 houses in the subdivision - as many people have said, many of the properties popping up on the market are torn down, rebuilt, and held onto.  We've sold to a number of investors who have bought the houses (to rent out), solely for the future value, of either re-sale or a rebuild.

So, how is Pimmit Hills?  Still affordable, compared to other houses in a similar location - Potential Value, looks good.

We are happy to send you a link - there are currently 6 places for sale in Pimmit Hills.  They are:
7620 Lunceford Ln Listed for sale for $434,900
1928 Cherri Dr Listed for sale for $467,000
7442 Patterson Rd Listed for sale for $494,900
1911 Pimmit Dr Listed for sale for $499,900
7602 Fisher Dr Listed for sale for $515,000

This one was destroyed and re-built in 2014.  It has been on the market for 174 days.
1928 Cherri Dr Listed for sale for $852,586
