There are so many variables that go into a real estate transaction, it would be difficult to rate a Realtor based on an equation of homes sold versus homes listed, etc...
If you want to find the right Realtor, you need to find one that you are comfortable with and make sure you can picture yourself working together for many months. I would suggest you look at the number of current listings the Realtor has and even speak to several previous clients to get an even better picture of how he/she operates. I would also ask for a marketing plan, so I know going in how my home is going to be marketing online, any print advertising, Open Houses, etc. There are many free Internet sites that let you list your home for sale, is this something your Realtor is comfortable doing? Will your Realtor consider Open Houses? How about home staging to help set the home apart from the competition? How will you communicate with your Realtor - by phone and email - and how often? If you find a Realtor willing to answer all your questions, spend time giving you advice on how to market your home, is willing to call in help when needed, has multiple current listings, has several years experience, and you like their personality -- I think you need to work with this person. Most business relationships are built with people you like and respect.
