Start within a half-mile radius of your home. Get to know your neighbors. Don't attempt to sell anything on first meeting, but let every neighbor know what your buyer representation can do for them. Do this consistently, every day for about an hour. Personal walking tours of your neighborhood pays off in referrals and fitness.

Actively inform your sphere of influence on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter that you are an agent specializing in buyers.  Advertise on Google Adwords. Advertise on Zillow as premier agent. Host open houses.  There are some other ideas, but this is a good start.
