All above comments are good, but I would like to add something. The weather is Michigan has a major affect. I hear a lot of get me into the house before the snow from clients. Those are usually the slow times.
Dear future Homebuyer or Seller :)Should I say every month is good? :)Usually it starts at the end of March-beginning of April. Most people who have to move start planning to have the house sold by the time school vacation starts in the beginning of June. Then we slow down a little in August, when a lot of residents go on vacation and we peek again at the end of August until Mid October, Most need to be in a house by the time school starts to get the kids registered in time; they need the proof of residency. After school starts in the beginning of June until mid of October we see a lot of late movers come in, where contracts have been delayed and the transfer took a little longer.
The rest of the year we do not see that high of a volume on sales but the sales that are coming in are high quality because only serious Buyers and Sellers are putting themselves out in the charming Michigan winter.
