What does everyone think about this name for a real estate company?

I'm becoming a broker and want to name my company Visionaire Realty. What do you think about that name? Your opinion will be appreciated

As a millionaire is a person who possesses a million dollars, I'm assuming you are thinking that a visionaire is a person who possesses vision.  The name confuses me a bit, since visionary is how one usually expresses that.  Is your vision your greatest strength as a broker?  Will search engines find you if people are looking for a realtor or listings to view in your area?  I'd get a few close, honest friends together, and ask them what they like, and don't like about it, and if you do decide you simply love the name, take heart in names like Zillow, Re/Max, Century 21, etc., that might have seemed a bit odd to some at first, too.  Good luck!

Well - look at it this way - if you select this name,  and things don't work out.....you could always look to share space with an optometrist!

I would actually prefer something that's not geo-connected.  What if you name it something local and wind up opening in the state next door?

If you really believe in the name, you'll make it work.

GOOD LUCK on your new venture.

Definitely has a great ring to it! Think about how it would come across over the phone. It may find yourself having to repeat yourself a lot or spell it out for people to understand just because its more unusual then shorter names. Also, since it starts with a "V", you are going to be towards the bottom of alphabetically sorted directories.

Here is a great article, among others, that gives tips on creating a business name: click here

I just opened my own real estate company and named it World Peace Realty.

My CPA Sister sked me over and over, What does World Peace have to do with real estate? My answer was easy. If I'm spending a million dollars on marketing, signs, printing, cards, inerenet advertising, what do I want it to say at the top of everything. I think everyone who hears it remembers the name and I've had nothing but positive feedback.

I suggest you use a name that makes you feel good and will motivate you everyday to make contacts, clients and closed deals. If you can help people reach their goals, you will be successful.

It's such a challenge to find a good name for a new brokerage or team!  I think the most important thing is that your name/logo is memorable and evokes some sort of emotion from the buyers or sellers (i.e. friendly, professional, luxury, modern/hip, upscale, etc).  I would also consider what it would look like on a "for sale" sign -- if people can easily read the name (and remember it!) when driving by at 40mph.

Best of luck with your new adventure!
