"It does not mean you will pay the buyers agent.  It means you will have a buyers agent represent you,"

When that line is in a FSBO listing, it does. It is the seller offering financial consideration to buyers already represented by an agent.

It does not mean you will pay the buyers agent.  It means you will have a buyers agent represent you, and if you are looking at homes through the MLS, the seller has all ready agreed to pay commissions, and it will come out of seller net proceeds.  If you are buying a FSBO, your agent will want to, or should, contact the owner of the home to make arrangements on commissions prior to viewing the home so everything is agree to prior to any offer being submitted.  It generally does not cost you anything to have a buyers agent, and I would highly recommend it.

It means you are willing to pay the buyers agent their side of the commission.

Work with buyer's agents means that you pay a co-op fee to a Realtor that brings a buyer. Please keep in mind the man that actual started the website For Sale By Owner.com turned his house over to a Realtor to be sold. Keep in mind that you are limiting yourself to a lot less showings, you also are setting yourself up and your family for major security issues, amongst all the legal items that go along with selling a home. Also it has been proven that Realtors on the average get 14% more on the average, so it does pay to pay a Realtor in the long run.

If it is a for sale by owner they are offering a commission out to buyer agents.  They do not want to pay to listing agents.  It saves them 1/2 the commission but they do not gain our experience as realtors to have as stress free as possible transaction.  Most for sale by owners end up working with a list agent.  We sure do know how to market.  Good Luck.

if you are listing a home and you get that question during hte listing process it means you are willing to let a buyer's agent represent a buyer for your house and you will agree to some sort of compensation to them for it or that you will agree to negotiate this.   (which negotiate also means...say no to them- not that you'll just agree to whatever they ask).

if you don't check it you are indicating that you are complete not interested and how your listing will show up on zillow it won't show buyer's agents by the property.

I am sure if I didn't quite communicate that well, someone else will jump in and comment -so if nothing else...responding bumps you to the top.

Wetdawgs???  perhaps you can respond witha better response!
