What does it mean when a house is Deemed condemmed.

The house has a sign on it that states that it is condemmed and not suitable to residing.

does not meet the health/safety/building codes etc. of the local jurisdiction in which it is located, therefore considered inhabitable.

Could be structurally unsound or unsafe. Could have city services like water and sewage discontinued which would make the house unhabitable. In Minneapolis when a house is condemned or boarded up the home must be brought up to full and current code compliance prior to being reinhabited, which is a lot more expensive than just moving into a non condemned home.
