Hi Leeness,
We took down the MyEstimate, aka Owner's Estimate, tool a few months ago as part of larger changes to our Zestimate and related algorithms which tied-into the tool. As these changes are not yet fully complete, we are not yet ready to re-implement the tool. We do fully intend to bring it back in a new-and-improved way, although this probably won't be for another few months, unfortunately. Yes, this is later than we had hoped for and what was initially communicated.
In the meantime, I'd suggest that you ensure your basic home facts are updated(here's how) and, if you haven't already, leave an Owner's Comment on your Zestimate(here's how) by which you can tell the public why our Zestimate may be inaccurate for your home, what it might not be accounting for, the upgrades and renovations, you've made, your view, etc. -- anything you think might give someone a fuller sense of your home's valuation.
Note that changes to basic home fact information may have an impact on the Zestimate, although we cannot guarantee this, or whether such a change would be up or down, or to what degree it might change -- there are many variables that go into the Zestimate. Overall, though, you should expect such changes to be reflected into the Zestimate within 6-8 weeks.
Thanks for using Zillow!

Good question; I haven't seen an update on this issue?
I helped a client update their home the other day and simply inputting the fact that it had been remodeled in 2011, which included an extra bath, hasn't made a change in the last week.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the appraisers, as they recognize that Zillow has NEVER been to the home and the reason that an appraiser is paid is that they have. Who is to say that the information that is input into Zillow by an owner is an accurate valuation of an improvement?
Appraisers look at a number of AVMs that you have no opportunity to adjust. why would Zillow be any more reliable?
The key issue is HOW DO YOU INTERPRET THE INFORMATION? It will always need to be interpreted. Some do that better than others.

What has happened to the feature allowing a homeowner to enter facts about renovation completed?
