I live in washingtonville and love it. It's a nice, quiet little town with just enough shops to keep main street interesting. If you feel like going to shop someplace bigger, new windsor, middletown and harriman where the big shopping is, is not far away. The neighbors are very nice and I really enjoy living here. My daughter goes to the English Rose Day school a few days a week and loves it. We're very happy with it. Also, washingtonville pediatrics is great and now they are moving even closer into town in a brand, new building. It's a nice life here, very family-oriented environment. If anyone wants info on anything in this area you can always contact me at 845 294 3661 or go to my site at www.terryfordrealty.com

If you love the outdoors and want to raise a family in a nice, clean, safe place look no further! After raising my three children here I feel they could not have had the same childhood experiences growing up anywhere else. The panoramic mountain views and the lakes to go fishing and swimming are endless. No matter what your interests, you will find them here. The village of Washingtonville is the home of the oldest winery in America, "The Brotherhood winery," check out there website. There are year 'round festivities at the winery including music festivals and wine tasting tours and grape stomping contests. It is also less than fifteen miles from New York's largest shopping attraction, "The Woodbury Common" premium outlet stores. Washingtonville has the best of both worlds from plenty of open space and fresh air for biking or taking walks with your family to the conveniences and ammenities of living in a city. The newly developed waterfront in the town of Newburgh is full places to dine and then dance the night away. Shawagunk hiking trails, West Point, the Hudson River, and too many hidden treasures in the "Hudson Valley." I am planning to stay in the area but now that my children are grown and on their own I will need a much smaller place. Do yourself a favor and "google" some of the places that I mentioned to get a sneak peak to see for yourself. Thanks for your comments Ms. Ford but you didn't mention all the great things about Washingtonville.
