Dear Missudaisy:
Hi. HOA fees are a good protection against declining neighborhoods, however the fees vary sharply depending on what type of services you are looking for in an association.
For example, an association with construction/maintenance guidelines with inspections and common areas maintenance may only be $20 to $50 per month. Associations that have pools willl be more, Associations that also include common roof maintenance, clubhouses, golf courses, parks, entry gates, guards on the premises etc. will all be more still. Fees can range from $100 to $400 per month or more depending what you are looking for.
If I can answer any more questions in your goal to find a great home at a great price, don't hesitate to ask.
Regards, Jeff

Hi,
There is no average fee. If you want, I can look up specific subdivision fees for you.

Every assocation is different and the fees are set up based on services and the number of properties contributing to the funds. Some larger subdivisions have fees of $55-$75 per month, but the homeowners are responsible for many things. In smaller subdivisions, and condos for certain, where the HOA covers water and sewer and perhaps the roof, the fees can be much higher...upto $200 per month.

Hi Miss Daisy,
There is no average association fee in the Tucson area. The fee all depends on what is provided for by the association.
Generally, the only time association fees are based on square footage is in a condominium, where units are charged proportionately to their size.
Plese let me know if I can help you with any real estate related needs.
