It depends on the purpose. As Realtors, we are advised to NEVER measure the square footage ourselves. There are various professionals that can be hired to do it, like a surveyor or an appraiser, for a relatively cheap fee.

An easy way to get a rough estimate yourself if you have a rather simple rectangular floorplan is to multiply the length at the width of the exterior walls (double it if you have a basement).

Hello!

We usually get that information from the County when taking a listing. You could call Davis County to see if you can get that information from them. A Realtor would also have access to this information as well.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to accomplish but I hope this helps in any way.
