In the 70's I sat in my car with a sick baby for an hour waiting to get gas, in October 08, I lost 38% of my investments. If you dwell on the all of the dreadful news of the economy and war and murders, and roberies, and meyhem, then Don't leave the house, crawl into bed and stay there til things get better.
I'm sure a picture of a jug of kool aid is in my future.

Look at the realities of your local market.
If you're gauging your business by the pundits and/or media then you'd be in sad shape.
But look at your market and the opportunities around you and you should see plenty of work to distract your woes.
I know is hokey but a busy mind doesn't doddle with grief.
