One with geothermal cooling, solar water heating, photovoltaic electric supply, substantial shade, good insulation, less than $100k, more than 640  acres, good water supply, reasonably accessible by road, within 20 minutes of shopping, no immediate neighbors, and excellent view.  Ambient exterior temperature between 40°F and 100°F year round.

How common is solar as a home feature in NM? It seems like that would 278 days of sunshine a year that would be a good selling feature.

You have got to have adobe walls. Aluminum siding just won't cut it.

And Georgia O'Keefe views out your window.

Avoid subdivisions like the swine flu.

A cactus growing out of a sunken living room pit would be preferable. Something non-traditional, not those christ-like cactuses that everybody knows.

A firepit. You must have a firepit.

Solar powered toilet flush. Much like the laser ones found in modern commercial establishments, you want a skylight that energizes the flush handle, and then when you step back, or up, BAM, New Mexico does the work for you.

That's how I'd roll in Albuquerque
