What types of loans can I refinance into?

I am currently taking out a balloon mortgage with the full payment due in three years and 30% down. If I bring my credit score above a 620 after a year what type of loans can I refinance into? I am a 100% disabled veteran, who had a foreclosure in October 2012 due to the fact I was waiting on my disability benefits and couldn't obtain a job or maintain gainful employment.

Hi,
There are a host of options for you and I would be more than happy to speak with you directly and put you in touch with local resources that can lay out all of your options. Please feel free to contact me at your soonest convenience.

Regards,
Michael.

I've spoken with a few private lenders that I was referred to by a loan officer at Wells Fargo. I guess I should probably give the loan officer from Wells Fargo a call tomorrow and see what she has to say.
Thanks

Have you spoken directly with a lender yet?

It's actually a private mortgage loan I took out. Not a conventional mortgage. Would I still qualify for the back to work program?

Recommend you speak with a lender to review your options, what you qualify for, and current rates. I personally refer local lenders & if you would like to send me an email would be happy to provide names of three local lenders I can recommend. I would list them in this reply but I would be violating Zillow's "good neighbor" policy. Best of luck. Spirit

If you wait until you are year out from your foreclosure you may be able to qualify for FHA's back to work program. Or you can wait two years from your foreclosure and refinance your loan to a VA loan.
