Zillow does not have the ability to know when someone is rehabbing the home. The two numbers contributing to the calculations reflecting condition would be tax assessment and sales prices. So, the home's Zestimate is most likely responding to the sales' price of $32k in April 2011. The question I (not a Zillow employee) would have when looking at the Zestimate graph is why did the Zestimate almost triple between Aug and Nov. Now it is coming back in line with the sales price.





What would generate a HUGE sudden drop in value(2/3) when no changes have occured?
