Let your instinct be your guide. If your instincts tell you that the person you interviewed genuinely cares about your best interest, is knowledgable about the market, financing, and the selling process then you're most probably in good hands.
Although I am a real estate agent myself, I had to find an agent for my parents in another town a few years ago. I interviewed 3 agents over the phone, and of the three, I personally met with one of them who I could tell was genuinely concerned about my parent's best interest. She was marvelous, and we've been referring clients to each other ever since!

Honesty is number one. I appreciate lots of other qualities in an agent too, but without honesty the conversation about becoming their client is over.

If you would like information on questions to ask a realtor when you are interviewing them, contact me and I will send you the information. The main thing however I feel is that you have a trusting relationship with the realtor you choose and feel that they will best suit your needs.

When interviewing agents to list your home what is the deciding factor for your selection?
