When will Zestimate (or at least county appraisals) be ready for Bexar County, Texas?

The Zestimate for all homes in my neighborhood are $0.  Looking at the Zillow coverage, there isn't any noted for my county - Bexar County, Texas.  Is there any timeline for when this data may be available?  Thanks

Hello. You might want to check out the Good Neighbor policy here and the guidelines for posting here. Zillow is a little different than some other sites so generally contact information and home site links are left on your profile page.

Profiles are a great way to connect with Zillow users. It also gives more room to explain your professional services and experience. Zillow has a video on maximizing your profile on Zillow here. Hope you post again soon. I'd love to hear the market in Austin.

Matsons,

Hello.  There is still a good reason to contact a realtor, as they have access to the local Tax records and recently SOLD data that is not part of Zillo, Trulia, or any other website.  If you have specific property addresses I can help you with any data you need to formulate an offer price or to see what your home value is.

To answer your question, Zillow will not have the data you seek any time soon, as they DO NOT specialize in tax data or do they have access to the MLS SOLD data, the local MLS's protect this info like the holy grail.  lol

Zestimates will improve in Texas when Texas becomes a disclosure state.   This isn't something under Zillow's control.

I agree with you Naima.  It is unfortunate that zillow offers a price estimate and in our market it is ALWAYS highly inacurate and it only confuses buyers and sellers.

The assessed values have come out on October 1st.  You can look them up on the central aprpaisal district http://www.bcad.org/

Zillow is not an appraisal site and the zestimates for TX are never accurate or even close becasue TX is a non disclosure state.  Only loan amounts are recorded and since Zillow uses public data, the zestimates are ueseless for us.
