Zillow App is here! and for those of you who are still undecided on iPhone or Curve, iPhone, hands down. With the super fast 3GS, I get emails on the iphone about a minute before they hit my laptop or tower. Contact lists, and voice dialing, GPS, and compass make it indispensable when on the road.. and there are now more specific applications just for real estate. It's better than having your computer with you..cus it's faster and looks good too! =) My vote is iPhone, by far!

Sunny: how many of our husbands could have written that article, LMAO on that!! I have enjoyed using the App, curious......if a home is listed on Realtor.com does it catch it on Zillow or does it have to be tagged as "For Sale" by someone in Zillow to show up as For Sale? I made my search area a little bigger (quick spread of the fingers on the screen) and it was cool to be able to see a home for sale several streets over and just pop on over to look at it.

The Zillow app is already here. On your iphone click on apps and search for Zillow. Click on the Zillow app and download. The Zillow app is free.

I've got this app and it works great. This really makes my job easier as a Realtor in Seattle. I can show my clients comps as I'm showing houses, whether they are for sale currently or just located nearby.
Taking bets on how long it lasts before it's jammed with ads. Probably a worthwhile platform to advertise on if you are an agent ormortgage lender, but it will destroy the app. I'll bet 2 months before Zillow caves and goes for the do-re-mi!

Otay Spencer, I fiddled with it some today and it is okey dokey.
How Zillow is better than Trulia.....easy to see what the poor shmuck bought the home for, makes it easier to predict which homes may come on the market in the coming year ;-)

Just to clarify... the Zillow app differs dramatically from every other iphone app in that we have ALL homes not just those that are for sale. Zillow also takes as many photos as the listing agent or seller wants to upload -- all for free -- so it should be very rare that a for sale home has more photos on trulia than on Zillow.
Finally, our application is GPS enabled, and has pan and zoom.
Here's the New York Times review comparing Zillow with Trulia on the iphone. Guess who wins?
In terms of adoption, the Zillow app has been out for 9 days and we're already at 150,000 downloads and we're the #14 free application OVERALL, ahead of facebook and almost everyone else. And the #1 real estate app as well, of course.

Trulia is on the Iphone too.......I can get a lot of house info on there that Zillow's ap doesn't have (pictures, open house info).....now if Zillow can get that info then I would have no need for both?
Again, more info in the people's hands the better.
NvChaz......you are so right, I would just upload pictures to Zillow of all my foreclosing neighbors to you.......and the minutia of my life which would probably upset you since it doesn't include working a "real" job.

Check it out. Just loaded mine. I am flabbergasted. Now, more than ever, a realtor without an iphone is a realtor severely disadvantaged . . .

Drove through a few neighborhoods and my dd and I had fun checking out the homes Zestimates..........it was super cool to see how much some houses had sold for recently and what the sales prices of homes that are listed for sale! Now you don't have to call the REA on the sign to ask for pricing (just one more way to cut out the middle man)......and I could right there while on the street determine whether the house listing was a decent price and could compare it to recent solds nearby. Sweet.

No I don't. My REA has one and we used it Sunday when we were looking at properties.
It was extremely useful in many respects. It was great to look up home values as we cruised by. Zillow really did a good job with this as far as I can tell.
The iPhone is too expensive in my circumstances and I don't need what it offers, but I'm glad my REA has one!
Trying to buy a 100k-ish primary residence and you have an iPhone?
I used it last weekend ... awesome. Good job!
