Whenever a crime rate goes down it's good news for everyone

The Cape Coral Breeze reported on July 24, 2010, our Pine Island neighbor, the City of Cape Coral, had some good news to report on crime reduction.  "The Cape Coral mid-year Uniform Crime Report showed a  decrease of 17.5% in crime the first six months  of 2010."

Connie Barron, spokesperson for the City of Cape Coral said "Cape Coral has always prided itself on being one of the safest cities in Florida.   Even though we have seen a population growth over the last few years we have still been able to maintain the (low) crime rate because we have a citizenry that works well with the police department."

Just curious as I do not know.....what is the crime rate of Cape Coral compared to other places like say, City of Ft. Myers, Lehigh Acres, Estero, Bonita and Naples? If you have those stats I think that would be interesting. Hats of to the leaders of Cape Coral for such a large decrease!
