I found a good general contractor at onlylicensedcontractors.com.
Supposedly they only will list contractors with licenses on their website.
He has is own crew and finished ahead of schedule. that was good because we needed to get back in our house.

Contact your local chapter on NARI - National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
Or contact my friends and very good contractors at Collier-Ostrom, Inc. (415) 206-0803
Good luck with your project!

Dear pmohanan:
you will be required to have a drawing for the city permit issuance and you will also be required to put a membraned or hot mop roof on top of the new addition. Â I would be more than glad to speak with you further. Â I got your information from zillow.com. Â I am a general contractor as well as a drafter. Â My name is Colleen Smith and my number is 209-470-3644. Â Thank you.

www.home-improvement-nh.com This is not only for NH it's nation wide so you can easily find a bunch of contractors in the Bay area. Get a bunch of free no obligation estimates and reviews and stuff. That's where I go everytime.

You can go to an association or I always like to use my online resources. You can use a company like service magic or find a local community online, and see who they recommend and who they use. It is always better to find a general contractor that has actually done work for someone you know and can give an honest recommendation.

I recommend you contact the nearest local association of NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) for member names. You can fin more wise advice on finding a General Contractor on How to Find a Builder.

Where Can I get a list of general Contractors in Bay area?
We are planning to add a new room and then move and then move the kitchen there. The total Sq is not more than 600. The existing roof cannot be extended so the new roof has to be a flat roof. How much would it cost to add a new room (600 Sq ft).? And also where can I find the list of general contractors in Bay Area (who can also get the permit).
Regards
