Zillow shows them (even with balloons!) if the agent cares to put them up as "open" on Zillow.

I know we have a presence on many websites so it is rare that we are able to post our Open Houses on all of them (I think there are 50). While we love the things Zillow offers, we mainly post our Open House information only on our local company website.
Your question, though, has prompted me to look into this as an option in the future.

Just as an experiment I pulled up the open houses for a few communities along the Oregon coast and found one open house listed for 8/21 in Lincoln City. I also took a look at the urbane area I'm complaining about adjacent to Luke's area, in Portland proper there are 16 open houses listed and 5330 listings. In Vancouver there are 2 open houses and 1489 houses listed. Yet if I go out driving in the urban area this weekend or along the coast, I will see hundreds of real estate signs for open houses. For some reason agents in this area do not advertise their open houses, it seems even more folly along the coast than it does here in the city.

By the way, for this week alone, it appears that there are about 5600 open houses listed on Zillow throughout the U.S.
Of course, Zillow only returns 20 pages of 25 listings each, for a total of 500; so if one wanted to find out about all of them, one would have to zoom the map in, and then pan it to different sections. Either that, or divide them up by price range.

Zillow allows the agent to create the open house listing months in advance; but it will only show up within a week prior to the open house...
Thus, even though there are lots of open houses entered; most people don't end up seeing the announcements unless they are looking for them regularly.
And there still are quite a few agents that don't know about the open house listing feature, even though it is advertised and posted in multiple locations. Personally, I think it is because the majority of the agents are lazy and have no desire to learn about the features offered on the site.
Remember, all one has to do to see a list of open houses for the week in a given area is use the "open house" filter on the home search page.

I found that agents in Vancouver, WA didn't bother to advertise open houses online or in the newspaper. The only advertising was signs on the street. I hoped that it was just a local stupidity problem, but if it is wider spread, is it any wonder open houses don't sell properties, if you aren't letting interested buyers know about them?

I don't see any open houses listed in Astoria right now, but here is a random search for open houses in the Seattle.
Zillow has tips on posting an open house here that might also be useful. I know that agents have mixed feelings on open houses, but I enjoy talking with local agents in person. Hope the links help.
