Where are you getting governmental information?

Profile picture for apsr
I would like to ask where you get this information? I am the Alton Township Assessor. My office has never provided this information to you. The county doesn't have this information. So who are you purchasing the information from. I'm sure we can sell it to you at a lower rate than anyone else. Please respond or our legal team will contact you about this. Thanks,
Julie

Hi aspr -

I checked on several addresses in the area and the these information were provided by owners. They have the capability to provide these data by claiming the property on the site and editing their home facts. You can check that we don't have the county records for some by clicking on "More facts" at the home information page, you will see that it is blank:

Thank you.

Madison County doesn't have the square footage, const type, bsmt, crawl or slab. They have the owner, address and a few other fields but not property information.

I'm not affiliated with Zillow but you piqued my curiosity.  I just checked, and using a random sample of 2 properties in Alton Township I found the information that Zillow has was posted here http://www.co.madison.il.us/OtherSites/ParcelData.shtml/, the Madison County website.  They also have a link to this https://tapestry.fidlar.com/Tapestry2/Default.aspx paid service on the county website.

Hi aspr -

May we know what specific information are you referring to? The ones that we have came from public data.

Thank you.

I know Zillow has data providers, but I don't anything beyond that. You might try contacting customer service here by email. They may be able to direct you to the right person to talk to.
