Frequently, I set up automated email searches through the MLS from clients to provide recent sales data of a specific neighborhood. The Twin Cities MLS is typically updated within three days of close, so the info is fairly timely. Another place to go is the county property records, while not as timely, this will include non-MLS transactions, such as some new construction sales and possibally sheriff's sales. Talk with a local realtor, they should be able to assist you defining specific search criteria to meet your infomrational needs.
