Consider contacting a certified contractor with the new EPA designation.

Locate Certified Renovation Firms

Note: This locator only identifies firms certified to provide renovation, repair, and painting services in Federally administered States, Tribes, and Territories. Currently, all States, Tribes, and Territories are Federally administered, with the exception of Wisconsin, Iowa, North Carolina, Mississippi, Kansas, Rhode Island, and Utah which are authorized by EPA to administer their own programs [For assistance identifying firms in these jurisdictions contact the National Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD(5323)].

Good Luck!

Last year a Buyer of mine purchased an investment property and the insurance company required a lead assessment of the property.  The cost was $140 for my Buyer.  Check with your insurance agent!

I am not aware of lead assessment fees. You can call 311 for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Information System with access to all local governmental agencies.
