Where does Zillow.com get their figures from?

The exact same house on the street behind me is valued at $33,000.00 MORE than my house.  This really hurts and I would like to know where these values come from.

Is $33,000 a 50% difference or a 2% difference?

Evaluate the home facts, are they correct?  If not, claim the home and edit them.

Evaluate the comps, chose more appropriate comps.

If edits you make are going to affect the Zestimate, patiently wait for a few weeks to a few months to see the change in the number on Zillow.
