Dear Zillow,

You've got the neighborhood for my house totally wrong!

Why isn't my neighborhood association listed in the 'neighborhoods' section for Portland, Oregon?

The neighborhood that I live in is the Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood. Here is there association website & map showing the boundaries of my neighborhood:

My neighborhood information is also wrong - I live in the Roslindale (zip code 02131) neighborhood of Boston, not Hyde Park. It may not seem like a big deal, but we're pretty serious about our neighborhoods here in Boston!

We are working on organic ways to improve our neighborhood boundaries that we base our neighborhood pages off of. So yes, we will likely add Beaumont-Wilshire at some point.

My "neighborhood" is listed correctly, but it is based on the 50 official community areas in Chicago. The problem with that is that it misrepresents subsections of those areas. I live in North Mayfair, which is a subsection of the Albany Park community area but always considers iteself separately. The main issue I have is deomographics. The main part of Albany Park is a low income immigrant area and when someone reads the demographic desciption along with the Prizm clusters you list, they might be very turned off!!! Our area, on the other hand, is solidly middle class. Please base your demographics on those of the ACTUAL CENSUS TRACT for the home. Both the US census and Claritas have information at this level!!!!

I think each individual registered person should be allowed to edit a description of their neighborhood like Wikipedia. It can include things like boundaries, area info, geography, etc. It would help alot to have this on the opening page of each community (or city) so that regular residents who live there everyday can edit it, and make it how they feel the neighborhood is.

Ours is incorrect also..... I have the correct neighborhood listed (San Marco) under the Neighborhood Info section, but in the listing title next to the square footage it links our house to a different "neighborhood page" (Miramar). It's a great idea it just needs to use the neighborhood that we specify under the Neighborhood Info section. Also, when we search the site by neighborhood, our house doesn't pop up when we search San Marco. Thanks for your help!
