If you are looking for a fixed rate mortgage, your best bet will be a local bank.
If you are ok with an ARM you need to find a broker that works with either ING or Astoria. They are consistantly the best priced jumbo loans.

Simmons2220, Brokers also deal with portfolio lenders that wholesale their fixed rate non-conforming jumbo loan products. Knowing exactly what loan amount you have in mind would help in pointing in a specific direction. You will find that banks have 1 set of products wheras brokers have relationships with a greater number of lenders/banks and have access to a much greater number of loan products.
No offense Andrew, just telling it like it is!

If you're looking for a 30 year fixed rate and your loan amount is over $625,000, you should go to a local bank. If your loan amount is under that number, any mortgage lender can do it. Or, if you can do a 5/1 or 7/1 adjustable rate mortgage, any mortgage lender can do that too.
