I have had the pleasure of helping a few veterans purchase homes in the last couple of months and they all used USAA for their financing. They specialize in working with veterans and they seem to have great interest rates.

Bobcio,

The VA loan is a great option if it is available to you.  The rates are the same.  The best thing to do is to ask a lender this question and get additional information about the VA loan process, rates, and other costs.

If you are in California, consider asking the lender about CalVet, which may be another option for you.

They all offer the same rates, it's the cost to get the rate that you need to be worried about. (Among other things)
