Berkeley house is asking 729K.
The current shmucks bought it in 2004 for 701K and are now trying to get the hell out with their pants intact.
Its last sale before that was is 1996 for 224K
No sir no bubble here. The correction is over. This is the bottom. Don' miss the bottom.

Wow, I was quite close. And that is actually scarry because a $729k 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in my area would be laughed at and everyone woudl ask if the lsiitng price was a late April Fools day joke.

I was goin to guess 600K for the Berkley house.
1.5 mill for the gorgeous NYC apt.

If you want to know wheither a house is worth asking price in my area, I probably have some strong opinions due to specific vicinity issues.
Otherwise, I don't know enough about specific areas throughout the country to price anything.

Not THAT cheap! LOL 475k Actually and it hasn't sold for quite some time.
Corona, Ca
4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home that is 4743 sq/ft. It also sits on 9143 s/ft lot

Corona is inland empire, hurting big time. I'd say $1mm, but with what's going on, maybe $750k?
Looks like new construction, And they already 'need out'. So maybe the seller can asks to cover his debt, could be as much as $1.5mm.
sold new for $1.4 million in May 2006. flipped for 1.5 million in Feb 2007 quickly went back to the bank. It's now listed for $670k. Making this a $830k loss in one year

hey Socal, my guesses were not so bad, hm? I got the 1.5 right!!! Do I win something?
And 750 is not far from 670 either.
yeah that was good! you get props.

Here's one that has a horrible sales history. Currently owned by a realtor, it will be quite the loss. I'm talking 7 figure losses on 2 of 3 transactions (each).
Beach front, 4 beds, 3 baths, 2065 sq ft, huge lot 0.4 acres

The beach front property was bought in 2000 by a dot-com millionaire.
7 years later sold to a realtor, with a 1.4mm loss.
Sales History
Date Price
May 26, 2000 $5,000,000
May 25, 2007 $3,600,000
The realtor had not read the bubble blogs and ran out of deals. Tried a 'quick flip' (sale 10 weeks after closing):
Listing Price History
Date Price
Jul 10, 2007 $4,995,000
Sep 10, 2007 $3,995,000
Oct 25, 2007 $3,395,000
Nov 24, 2007 $3,995,000
Apr 03, 2008 $3,500,000

Try to guess this one:
Southampton, New York
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms

Small world.. when I lived In Capitola, I had a gardening account not to far from that house.
I wonder why Mr.dot.com $$ sold it at a loss??

Alpine, I really like that house. I'd say 2mm.
Peter, just looking at those number scare me. Is it any wonder I live in the hood? No worries for me - I may not impress anyone, but I don't care.

Who Wants to Play "Guesss the Price of that House"??
I thought I would try something new. Everyone can post a photo of a house and we can guess how much the asking price is. Be sure to include the location of the house, and some basic facts about it if you wish to play. I will start:
Location: Northern New Jersey
Bedrooms: 5
Bathrooms: 3.5
Year Built: 1960s
