Best Answer
We've had limited luck asking the bank/attorney who the listing agent will be.  You can often find this information in the notice of foreclosure (sheriff sale details) filed with your county.  If the attorney can tell you the name of the agent that will be listing the property search that person and call them and let them know you're interested.  You'll still have to wait until it's "listed" but you have a good chance of being first in line.

Pre-market and/or pre-forclosures do not mean there is an imminent chance the property will be available any time soon.

They are simply not for sale.  A pre-foreclosure is still owned by an individual.  The bank can't legally sell it until they own it.  They won't own it until it is auctioned on the courthouse steps.  Then it may take months for them to wade through other legal issues until they are ready to put it on the market. 

The bank and/or attorney will not give a consumer any information regarding the status of the loan or the foreclosure proceeding.  That's a privacy violation.

Pre foreclosures and not for sale and many will never be for sale. They are a waste of your time until they are actually on the market.

If you want to see specific houses or foreclosures if they do go on the market, call an agent and ask them to add you to their automatic mailing list.

pre market is just that, pre market.....its a tease. Realtors in this area (and most areas) are not allowed to do 'pocket listings' If its on the market its on the market for everyone, makes sense doesnt it, if its going to be a popular property, why would the seller , sell prior to seeing whether he/she could get multiple offers

When you goto the search option for part of this site. There is an option to search for recently sold, homes, rentals, property on market, and pre-market property. Some of the pre-market property are really just pending sales. Some seem to be property the banks haven't sold. and some seem to be property not yet listed, but are planning listing very soon.

If is not listed for sale then it might not be for sale. The only one that could sell it would be the owner. Where are you even seeing something called a pre-market property?
