Why are most newer homes in Blaine, Mn. listed with the square footage too low?

Much of Zillow's data comes from tax records and tax records are horribly inaccurate - for example, they rarely note finished basements.

There may be several reasons, the first being what the other agents are stating that the county tax records are extremely inaccurate, the second bening the listing agent may not have measured properly  (If even at all). But I also agree with the others as well.. a 2 story may only show the above ground finished area.

Answered:  County records not including finished basements - a 2800 sq.ft. becomes 1200!

Why do you think the square footage is too low?  Where are you getting your information and what are you comparing it to?
