Why are similar homes in my neighborhood, shown without number of bedrooms, increasing in value?

Since I am not Zillow, I can't explain it, but I have seen this before in some places especially in newer subdivisions. All I can suggest is that if you own a house in that area, you claim the house and then edit the info to remove the bed/bath count. The change will show up immediately, but if your value changes that may take 6-8 weeks to fully show up.

I think that Zillow assumes certain facts if they are missing and that somehow affects the larger numbers. Just remember if it doesn't work you can always unclaim your house and put it back the way it was before the edit. Zillow is not an appraisal so the numbers are only ballpark figures and not meant to be relied on as pure fact.

If the number of bedrooms and baths are not listed, the valuation must be primarily off the square footage.  Although you must know that the zillow estimates are many times not accurate.  The best way to find this information is via a market analysis.

Increasing in value based on what.........the zillow estimate?? Even in a 'normal' market, which this is not, the zillow estimate which comes from 3rd party bits & pieces, is frequently off mark. In this most difficult market it's often a joke. The good thing is that most people pay no real attention to it and I do not think EVER refer to it when they actually write an offer.
If you want to know the approx value range of your property, ask a few agents to do a market analysis. There is no charge.

I guess we would have to learn first what is the neighborhood. Please keep in mind that Zillow uses only the information others made available to them. They may have missed some details if nobody cared to provide them.
