The zestimates are not accurate or up to date. Zillow recently changed how they calculated, but as you can see still not accurate statement of value. Zillion, for a free ballpark is an ok estimate. They need to take many other factors into consider including updates inside & out, subdivision comps, plus many other factors used. If a person wants to know what a property is worth, talk with a local agent/Realtor for sold comps (Zillow compares all solids, & that I'd not correct). Or consider paying for an appraisal, will cost around $400 but that is a much more accurate value. In this market, a property is only worth what a bank will loan on it. No one in the RE industry uses Zillow to establish value. Spirit


Why are the new zestimates so messed up? Some up and down by ridiculous amounts
Have seen zestimates vary by $200,000 in a couple of months for one property. Another just went up by $25,600 in a week
