Why are two townhomes in the same complex so different in value on zillow?

Profile picture for nicerhome
I am aware of several townhomes in the same complex, some more updated than others.  The values on zillow do not correspond to the actual quality of identical sized townhomes.  Some of the nicer, updated units are valued less than the outdated units?

I agree with Dave, if you want to know what todays market value is contact a Realtor ...Real estate is local. Zillow is a great tool, lots of clients love it, as a Realtor, I use the Multiple Listing Service to find out what a home is worth though as I need to see inside the home to see the upgrades, Zillow cant do that  (right now)

Yes. Zillows numbers are never 100%. In fact, they really don't mean anything, because their system doesn't contain accurate info.

Best way to get something close to a real value is hire an appraiser or ask a real estate agent for a Market Analysis.

Hope this helps.
