Zillow is not a scam site. Your credit card info is safe with them, but they cannot prevent scammers from lifting your house photo and address to use on craigslist. Even people who have an agent and are listed on the MLS have had photos lifted and their house posted for rent. Scams are a fact of internet life.
Zillow has info here that might help you. You are wise to ask questions about your credit card info, but scammers trolling Zillow do not have access to it. All they can see is your house listing. You can delete any scam emails you get of you can report them on the linked page to the authorities.

I did report the fradulent activity to craig's list immediately. My question now is what happens when someone harvests ads on the internet and lists them on a different website for lower rentals? Are they taking applications and collecting deposits? Is the credit card that I used to pay for the ad on this site in jeopardy for fraudulent activity by the bandit who stole the ad and listed it on another website without my permission or authorization?

Every rental site on the internet seems to have scammers come through harvesting and reposting with lower rents.
Please contact Craigslist with notice of this fraudulent activity.

Why did my home appear on Craig's list after I listed my home for rent on your site?????????
After I listed my home for rent on your website, it appeared on Craig's list, advertising half the rent, and giving an erroneous email address to reply to. The same pictures that are on your web site appeared on that other website, and we actually had a potential renter contact us. Do you sell the ads? Also, since I posted the home for rent we have been getting emails from your site telling us that the person with our email address wants to schedule a showing. I am beginning to regret getting involved with your site and giving you my credit card number to pay for the ad listed on your site. Is there fradulent activity going on?
